With our fall meeting season  now behind us, we can reflect on a prosperous year and look forward to more good things in 2015.  Our Holiday Party, December 17, was a great opportunity to gather in good company, exchange a few gifts, and watch a slide show of photos from the past year.  In the raffle, Nikki Visser won the overnight stay at Lake Tahoe Resort, and Bob Broderick won the half cord of firewood from Taeger's.  Treasurer Kevin Conway reported that we have about $3,000 in the bank, and Scholarship Committee member Ron Cunnington reported that one student applied this fall, but the Committee is waiting on more information before they make a decision on if and how much to award.

The  meeting lineup for the first half of 2015 is now posted on the Meetings page, and the Workshops/Articles page is also updated with the many conferences and annual meetings that happen at the beginning of each year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Amador-El Dorado Forest Forum is a group of forestry professionals, forestry educators, and others interested in forestry practices and issues.  The Forum meets once a month at various locations in the two-county area.  The Forum awards scholarships to local college students majoring in Forestry and sponsors the California Forestry Challenge.  Everyone is welcome to join our group. We have great dinner meetings, an annual Blanket Party, and participate in El Dorado County Farm Day.  For complete details on upcoming Forest Forum meetings, go to the "Forest Forum Mtgs." page.
